Getting the app
MotorLog for Android is distributed through Google Play. If you received a test build, install it and sign in with your account — your synced data restores automatically.
Frequently asked questions
My reminders didn't notify me
Allow notifications for MotorLog and, on Android 12+, allow Alarms & reminders. Some phones also require turning off battery optimisation for the app. Distance-based reminders update whenever you add a fuel entry, service record or new odometer reading.
Why is my fuel economy blank?
Economy is calculated between two full-tank fill-ups so it stays accurate. Log your next fill-up as a full tank and the figure will appear.
Can I use MotorLog offline?
Yes. Everything you've synced is available offline and new entries are queued, then uploaded when you're back online. The sync indicator in the app shows Offline, Syncing, Synced or Sync failed.
How do I move to a new phone?
Sign in with the same email on the new device and your data restores. Guest accounts must add an email first under Profile & Settings.
I forgot my password
Tap Forgot password? on the sign-in screen. The email link opens a secure page where you choose a new password.
